If this is your first time at church (or your first time in a long time), you may have some questions. We’ve tried to answer many of them below, but please reach out and we’ll be sure to help out anyway we can.
On a Sunday morning, we gather for about 60 minutes for worship. During this service we will sing hymns (old and modern), hear scripture read from the Bible, a minister will reflect on the verses, and we will pray together. You’re welcome to participate as much as you’d like, or sit quietly and watch and reflect during the service.
Whatever makes you comfortable! Most of our congregation wears “nice casual” clothes, think slacks and blouses, but you’ll find t-shirts and jeans as well. Come as you are, in whatever makes you feel good.
Kids are an important part of our church community. They begin the service in “big church” where they will sing our opening hymns before an interactive “all-ages” time. Following that time, they will be offered a chance to go to “kids’ church” with one of our volunteers for some activities, before returning towards the end of the service. Kids are also always welcome to stay in “big church” with their families.
Ample parking is located in the parking lot beside the church. If extra parking is needed, please use McFaul street (on the west side of the church) or the far side of the Tim Hortons parking lot across the street. After you’ve parked, you can enter via the glass doors facing the parking lot, and head up the stairs (or take the lift) into the main church building.
Nope! Although Sunday is a focus of our church community, we also offer many other ways to connect with each other, and with your faith.
Join us weekly Wednesdays at 10am for coffee and conversation, and keep an eye on our events page for all of our upcoming events.
